About Us

Lone Hickory Volunteer Fire Department is the primary agency for emergency services in the Lone Hickory Fire Protection District. We provide fire suppression, technical rescue, HazMat, and education and prevention services to the community. We cover a large area within Yadkin, Iredell, and Davie Counties, and we are capable of being dispatched to any incident by any of those counties' dispatch centers. 

Lone Hickory Volunteer Fire Department operates out of one station located at 3200 Lone Hickory Rd. Yadkinville, NC 27055. Our fleet consists of six apparatus, each having its own unique role on the fire scene. 

Our staff consists of mostly volunteer personnel. We also have paid staff at the station Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00. Our staff hold various certifications such as Firefighter I & II, Medical Responder, EMT, Hazardous Materials Level I, Technical Rescuer, Chief 101, Driver Operator, and Wildland Fire Suppression.
